Management

Michael Jarvis - President CEO

Michael Jarvis is President and CEO of the Jacobson Companies, Inc,. Yuma Valley Contractors, Inc. and Southwest Lumber. He joined the company in January of 1996. In 1998, he became a licensed real estate agent in Arizona. Prior to joining the Jacobson Companies, Mr. Jarvis worked for the Tanner Companies for 20 years in the Yuma and Phoenix areas. He held various positions with the Tanner Companies including Area Business Manager, Division Controller, Software Project Team, and Plant Superintendent.

Norman Bruce Jacobson - Vice President

Norman Bruce Jacobson is Senior Vice President of Engineering and development projects in Arizona since 1963. He has served as Town Engineer for the town of Parker and County Engineer for La Paz County. As an engineer, his experience includes design of subdivisions, commercial properties, landfills, water and sewer systems, treatment plants, pumping and distribution systems, roads and streets, interstate highway systems, and flood control. He has been involved in engineering for both the private and public sector for the past 30 years.

Carol Johnston - Secretary & Treasurer

Carol Johnston is the corporate Secretary and Treasurer for the Jacobson Companies, Inc., Yuma Valley Contractors, Inc,. and Southwest Lumber. She is a licensed residential contractor. She has been with the company since 1971. She is the office manager for Jacobson Companies, Inc. and Yuma Valley Contractors, Inc. She is also the broker for Jacobson Companies, Inc. Her responsibilities include accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, banking and many other duties.

Bruce Wallace - General Manager

Bruce Wallace is Lead Constructor and General Manager of Yuma Valley Contractors, Inc. Having joined the company in 1972 he has over 36 years of experience. His responsibilities include overseeing project meetings, scheduling, shop drawings, submittals, quality control, materials management, job records, daily logs, partnering, management, labor and equipment hours, production quantities for job site and the work progress.

Kirk Perkins - Lead Estimator and Project Manager

Kirk Perkins is the Lead Estimator and a Project Manager for Yuma Valley Contractors, Inc. Kirk joined the company in 2006 brining with him his experience as an electrician while running his own business. He oversees quality control to verify owner receives the highest quality product, on site daily construction activities, scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment and materials, and progress of project construction.

Brad Chadwick is a Project Manager for Yuma Valley Contractors, Inc. Brad joined the team in 2005 and brings with him a total of 7 years construction experience. He oversees quality control to verify owner receives the highest quality product, on site daily construction activities, scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment and materials, and progress of project construction. He meets with the architect and engineer to discuss progress of the projects.

20 Years of Experience Rex has been with Yuma Valley Contractors since 1998. Along with being a Superintendent Rex has experience in Masonry, Tile, and Landscaping.

Rusty Wright - Project Superintendent
31 Years of Experience Rusty has been with Yuma Valley Contractors since 1988. Along with being a Superintendent Rusty has experience in Finish Carpentry, Framing and Concrete Work.

Tony Covarrubias (T.C.) - Project Superintendent
30 Years of Experience Tony has been with Yuma Valley Contractors since 2006. Along with being a Superintendent Tony is a Master Carpenter and Journeyman.

Artie Garcia - Underground Superintendent
25 Years of Experience Artie has been with Yuma Valley Contractors since 1998. Along with being a Superintendent Arty has experience in Underground Utilities, and Concrete work.

Randy Watley - Framing Superintendent
22 Years of Experience Randy has been with Yuma Valley Contractors since 1998. Randy brings with him experience in Framing Wood and Metal, and constructing Metal buildings.

Ivan Nunez - Project Assistant
Ivan joined Yuma Valley Contractors in 2007 and has gained most of his experience while working on the job.

Hank Shy - Safety Officer
Safety Officer: 48 Years of Experience Hank has been with Yuma Valley Contractors since 1982. Hank bring with him experience in Underground Utilities, and Safety Compliance.
