About Yuma Valley Contractors
Jacobson Realty Development of Yuma, Arizona was founded by Don and Larry Jacobson in 1971. Originally formed as a real estate sales and land development company, it has evolved into a company of several entities. Jacobson Realty and Development soon began building homes, and in January of 1977 the name of the company was changed to Jacobson Companies, Inc. to reflect the many additional activities that the company became involved with.
In 1979, Jacobson Companies, Inc. expanded with the formation of Yuma Valley Contractors, Inc. to serve the commercial construction market in Yuma. Yuma Valley Contractors, Inc. was incorporated in Arizona in March 1979. For optimum quality and cost control, we do our own utility work and rough and finish carpentry. In addition, we purchase our materials from Southwest Lumber - a subsidiary of Jacobson Companies, Inc.
